Grove City College XC Alumni 5k & 3k Fun Run

Grove City College 100 Campus Lane, Grove City, PA, United States

On Friday, October 11, 2024, Homecoming Weekend, we will have our annual Cross Country Alumni 5k Run & 3k Fun Run. Anyone who was part of the cross country program for at least one season during their time at Grove City College is invited to participate.

Over the years the event has continued to grow. It is just as much a social gathering as it is an athletic competition. We have many alumni come for the food & fellowship and not participate in the race. The running time of each race will be displayed on the scoreboard and music will be played over the loudspeakers during the warm-up & races. After the men’s race, we will have a chili cookout in the tent behind the press box. Feel free to bring homemade chili, or a salad, side dish, dessert, etc. We will provide the beverages and plasticware. Come for the food and fellowship; the running is just one part of the night.

Parking will be available in the lot next to the Fieldhouse. We will provide T-shirts to wear as your uniform top, which you will get when you register. Registration will begin at 6:00 pm in the big tent behind the press box, which is the same tent we will have the cookout in. If you made food, you can bring it with you and set it up when you check in. We will have power strips, portable heaters, and flood lights in the tent, along with tables and chairs for everyone. You will have access to the restrooms beneath the press box. If anyone needs a locker room, they can use the lockers and showers in the general locker rooms in the Physical Learning Center. Ice bags will be provided after the races if needed.
