The count-down to the biggest running day of the year has started – registration is now open for the Grove City Area Federal Credit Union Grateful Gallop 5K!
On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, runners, walkers, families, and friends will gather in Grove City, Pennsylvania, for one of the community’s favorite holiday traditions. Whether you’re returning for the 11th year or joining us for the first time, Wolf Creek Race Management and our Valued Partners will make it a memorable morning!
The Grateful Gallop is more than just a race – it’s a Thanksgiving tradition that brings our community together while supporting the Grove City Community Food Pantry. Each year, participants kick off their Thanksgiving celebrations with a morning of fitness, friendship, and gratitude. It’s an opportunity to get moving, enjoy time with family and friends, and give back to the community before gathering around the Thanksgiving table.

Why You’ll Love the Grateful Gallop 5K
A Thanksgiving Tradition
There’s no better way to start Thanksgiving Day than with a little fresh air, exercise, and community spirit! From the excitement at the starting line to the smiles and warm drinks at the finish, the GCAFCU Grateful Gallop offers a family friendly and festive atmosphere that participants look forward to year after year.
Run for a Great Cause
One of the most meaningful aspects of the GCAFCU Grateful Gallop is its support of the Grove City Community Food Pantry. The raises awareness and supports an organization that helps local individuals and families facing food insecurity. All runners are encouraged to bring non-perishable foods to the start line, and Wolf Creek will personally deliver them to the Food Pantry. It’s a great reminder of what Thanksgiving is all about — gratitude, generosity, and helping our neighbors.
Everyone Is Welcome at this Family Tradition
The Grateful Gallop welcomes participants of all ages and abilities – the flat and accessible course through Hunter’s Farm makes it the idea race for everyone! It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an active Thanksgiving morning together. Before the turkey goes into the oven and the Thanksgiving festivities begin, gather your family and friends for a memorable morning in Mercer County. Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, the Grateful Gallop is a wonderful way to begin the holiday.
Race Announcer Joe Klimchak
