Two Pittsburgh winter running traditions are back for 2027! Registration is officially open for the North Park Half Marathon and South Park Half Marathon, giving runners two opportunities to take on 13.1 miles in two of the Pittsburgh area’s most iconic parks.

Kick off the new year at the North Park Half Marathon on Saturday, January 9, 2027.
Taking place in North Park in Allison Park, the race offers runners a memorable mid-winter half marathon experience just north of Pittsburgh. Whether you’re chasing an early-season goal, looking for motivation to keep training through the holidays, or simply enjoy racing in the winter, North Park is the perfect way to start your 2027 race calendar.

The Directional Double combines the North Park Half Marathon and South Park Half Marathon into one two-race challenge. You’ll start on the north side of Pittsburgh in January before heading south in March, completing 26.2 total race miles across two iconic Pittsburgh parks.
