Resolution Run Postponed
The 5th annual Resolution Run has been moved from Saturday, January 2nd to Saturday, January 23rd. The event will still start at 10:00am. The event has been postponed due to the recent outdoor gathering limit of 50 people that was implemented last week. This order is currently set to expire on January 4th. At the event, we will have a covid mitigation plan in place like we have for all of our in-person events during the pandemic.
The Resolution Run 5k will not be postponed again. It will either occur on January 23rd or it will not happen this year. All currently registered participants will have until Monday, December 21st at 11:59pm to request a full refund if they are unable to attend due to the date change.
Money Back Guarantee
If the Resolution Run is forced to be cancelled, all participants will receive a full refund.

The Best Resolution Run Yet
The 5th annual edition of the Resolution Run will be the best yet. All participants who register prior to January 7th, will receive a Resolution Run long sleeve performance t-shirt, a Wolf Creek campfire mug, and a premium linen drawstring bag. Along with these giveaways, participants will also receive a prepackaged refreshment bag and a downloadable finisher certificate on RunSignUp. Not only are the giveaways the most robust yet, but the course will have improved features as well.
We will have a split point at Mile 1, a water station at the halfway point, and music along the course. The course will be marked with arrows and mile markers along the way. The course still features the classic two loops around the LindenPointe Innovative Business Campus. Any participant that sets a course record will receive free entry into the next Resolution Run. The women’s course record is 18:10 and the men’s is 17:43.
Covid Precautions in Place
Of course, with the pandemic still prevalent, we will be taking additional safety measures as we have done with all of our in-person events during the pandemic. The training and workforce development building will no longer be open for participants this year. Additionally, hand sanitizer will be available to all participants, a 10-minute start window will be provided, and masks will be required when social distancing is impossible. There will be no in-person awards ceremony this year. A virtual awards ceremony will be posted on our YouTube Channel in the week following the event. All awards will be mailed.
Supporting the LDC
The Resolution Run supports the LindenPointe Development Corporation (LDC), a nonprofit organization, that fosters small business development throughout the region. This year, more than ever before, we feel this cause is especially important with the difficulties of 2020 for many of the small businesses in our region. Small businesses have been disproportionally affected by the pandemic with 74.4% reporting moderate to large negative impact in the most recent U.S. Census Bureau Small Business Pulse survey. Even if you do not register for the race, you can still donate to the LDC under the donate tab on the event website.
Area Attractions to Check Out Post Race
The City of Hermitage and nearby Sharon feature a number of tourist attractions including Daffin’s Candies, Avenue of 444 Flags, Kraynak’s, Buhl Park, Shenango River Lake, and the Original Quaker Steak & Lube.
