The 2024 edition of the Visit Beaver County Rabid Raccoon 100 is here and promises an experience like no other. This year, we’re introducing exciting new additions to the already exhilarating event, making it a must for runners of all levels.

Just like our New River Gorge National Park trail half marathons, this trail half marathon in Hot Springs, Arkansas occurs entirely within the national park!

The Visit Beaver County Rabid Raccoon 100 is set for March 18-19, 2023 at Raccoon Creek State Park in Hookstown, PA. The event for offers race distances of 20 mile, 100k, 100 mile, and a 100 mile relay. Participants can expect to be challenged by the rolling single track trails around Raccoon Creek State Park.

The Kinzua Bridge was once the longest and tallest railroad bridge in the world, measuring 2,053 ft. long and 301 ft. high.  In 2003, a tornado destroyed the majority of the bridge.  In 2011, the remaining portion was converted into a pedestrian walkway which stretches 600 ft. out over the Kinzua Gorge with views for miles around.  The floor at the end of the skywalk is made of glass, allowing the bold and daring to look 300 ft. straight down past their feet into the valley below. This is a must visit destination if you are in the Allegheny National Forest.
